This is a new song, recently recorded. (before Baby Stop Crying)

Thank you. This next song is the story of my life. (before Shelter From The Storm)

All right, thank you, Ballad Of A Thin Man! It was thirteen years ago I recorded that song. This is called I Ain't Gonna Work On Maggie's Farm No More. I played this at the Newport Folk Festival, some time, recently. This is the song that got me booed off the stage. This is it. (before Maggie's Farm)

Thank you. This is a song I recorded with The Band a few years back. On one of my albums if you can find it. Anyway we're gonna take a break after this song. Gotta do some things backstage, with a telephone. OK, so we'll see you in about 5 minutes. (before Going, Going, Gone)

David Mansfield on the violin! I taught him how to play that. All right! (after All Along The Watchtower)

Thank you! All right! It gives me a great deal of pleasure to me and it also gives me a great deal of pleasure to play with this band. I think a whole lot of this band and I wanna introduce them to you now. On the guitar, on the rhythm guitar, right here is a man of great renown, Mr. Steven Soles. You'll be hearing more from him. All right, on the drums, Ian Wallace. I know some of you know him, give him a bigger hand than that, Ian Wallace. On the bass guitar, and you know how good he is, Jerry Scheff. All right, on the keyboards, Alan Pasqua. Lead guitar, Billy Cross. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. You met this young man here earlier this evening. Plays just about every thing and more, David Mansfield. On the tenor saxophone, I know you've been waiting to know who this man is, Mr. Steve Douglas. All right, on the background vocals tonight... all right, these girls make me cry every night. On the left, my fiancée Carolyn Dennis. On the right, this girl’s my cousin, my first cousin, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my current girlfriend, Helena Springs. We're gonna do this now, recorded a few years back in New York City, called, It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

We're gonna do this one last tune, and as Jerry Garcia would say, “beat it on down the line". So, till we meet again. (before Forever Young)

Thank you. I hope this song means as much to you as it means to me. I really do. (before The Times They Are A-Changin')

All right, thank you! This is a new song just recorded a few weeks ago. (before Baby Stop Crying)

Thank you! This is the story of my life, this next song. (Shelter From The Storm)

Thank you. This is one of the finest bands I've ever worked with and I wanna introduce 'em to you now. On the drums, Ian Wallace. On the bass guitar, Jerry Scheff. Keyboards, Alan Pasqua. Lead guitar, Billy Cross. On the rhythm guitar, Mr. Steve Soles. On the conga drums, Bobbye Hall. All right, on the violin, and he also plays the mandolin, and a lot of other things, David Mansfield. Slow down, on the tenor saxophone, Steve Douglas. On the background vocals, three young ladies break my heart every night, Carolyn Dennis. My cousin, Jo Ann Harris. And my very good friend, Helena Springs. I wrote and recorded this in New York a few years back called, It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

< ... > A private present to a friend of mine in the back. All right we're gonna get on down the road, and play you this last song before we go. It was a pleasure to be here tonight. Yes it was. I'm glad to say this song means as much to me as it does to you. So, till we meet again. (before Forever Young)

Thank you very much! I've been singing this one for fifteen years, so one more time. (before The Times They Are A-Changin’)

Thank you, thank you. This is a new song we recorded a few weeks ago. Back in America. (before Baby Stop Crying)

Thank you. I wanna say hello to the Riley family tonight. Who came down from Manchester. (before Tangled Up In Blue)

Thank you. Sign of the times, Maggie's Farm. I Ain't Gonna Work On Maggie's Farm No More. This is the song that started it off for me.

Thank you! Gonna play this tune here and take a break for a while. Go back stage, wake up. Anyway, I recorded this with The Band a few years back. On one of those albums. I can't remember which. Anyway it goes like this, these days. (before Going, Going, Gone)

This is a song I wrote a while back for a friend of mine. And she's in the house tonight so I'm gonna play it. (before To Ramona)

All right. I'd like to dedicate this tune to the late, great Jimi Hendrix. A lot of people from America have come to Europe to gain any sort of success. (plays All Along The Watchtower) Thank you. David Mansfield on the violin. I taught him everything he knows.

Thank you! I wanna introduce the band to you. I think a whole lot of this band and I know you do too. On the drums, your friend and my friend, Ian Wallace. Finally got an English drummer, he comes from Great Britain. On the bass guitar, and you know how good he is, Jerry Scheff. On the keyboards, Alan Pasqua. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. On lead guitar, from Mobile, Alabama, Billy Cross. On the rhythm guitar, from San Antonio, Texas, Steve Soles. On the background vocals tonight, yeah, on the left, my fiancée Carolyn Dennis. And on the right, my ex-wife's best friend, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my current girlfriend, Helena Springs. I wrote and recorded this in New York City not too long ago. It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

Thank you. All right, this is a new song we just recorded a few weeks ago called Baby Please Stop Crying.

Thank you! This is the story of my life, this next song. (before Shelter From The Storm)

Thank you! That was a song about a Ballad Of A Thin Man. I wrote that fifteen years before Ballad Of Short People. This is called Maggie's Farm. I Ain't Gonna Work On Maggie's Farm, No More. This is the song that got me in a lots of trouble.

Thank you. All right. We're gonna take a break now. Very important phone call to make. So, I recorded this song with The Band not too long ago. You may remember it. (before Going, Going, Gone)

Thank you! Careful with those matches now. You could burn the place down. All right, thank you! (after Blowin’ In the Wind)

Thank you. That was a song in reggae there. I'd like to dedicate this to the late, great Jimi Hendrix. (sings All Along The Watchtower) David Mansfield on violin! I taught him how to play that.

Thank you. From Kingston Jamaica, on the drums, Ian Wallace. From Panama City, Alan Pasqua on the keyboards. On the bass guitar, Jerry Scheff. Lead guitar, Billy Cross. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. On the rhythm guitar, step up Steven Soles! A great artist in his own right. He has no rights. On the mandolin and the violin, you've also seen him playing guitar, David Mansfield. We're gonna leave him here in England. On the saxophone, you've heard this man many times before, you probably don't know it. Steve Douglas. All right, on the background vocals tonight. I've been waiting all night to introduce these ladies. On the left, my current girlfriend, Carolyn Dennis. On the right, my childhood sweetheart for real, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my fiancée Helena Springs. All right, we're gonna play this tune I recorded in New York City about 10 years ago called It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

Thank you. All right. We're gonna head out now. I'm glad these songs mean as much to you as they mean to me. So, until we meet again. In a few weeks, ha ha. Actually I’ve been thinking of moving up to Liverpool. All right. (before Forever Young)

Or The Supremes, but they don't sound like The Supremes. They sound more like the old Raylettes. I wanna introduce them to you now. On the left my fiancée, Carolyn Dennis. On the right, my current girlfriend, Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle, my childhood sweetheart, taught me everything I know. Helena Springs. We gonna do this song recorded a few years back in New York City. Called It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

All right. It’s time for us to go. Time for that part of the evening again. So I’ll leave you with this one last tune. (before Forever Young)

Thank you. All right. This is a song I been doing for quite a few years now. I recorded this about fifteen years ago as a matter of fact. (before The Times They Are A-Changin’)

Thank you. Goodnight. I hope these songs mean as much to you as they do to me. Goodnight. (after The Times They Are A-Changin’)

Thank you. This is a new song off the new album called Baby Please Stop Crying.

Thank you. Title of that song was Ballad Of A Thin Man. This next song got me booed off the stage of the Newport Folk Festival in 1965. I hope you like it.

Thank you. This is another new song from the Columbia Records album called Street-Legal. This is called Tales Of Yankee Power. I wrote this after going down to Mexico. (before Señor (Tales Of Yankee Power))

Thank you. I've been doing this song for a long time and I'm gonna do it one more time. Anyway we call this Southern Mountain Reggae. (before Don't Think Twice, It's All Right)

Thanks. Ok. This name of this song is All Along The Watchtower. Recorded on an album John Wesley Harding. I’d like to dedicate it tonight to the late great Jimi Hendrix.

Thank you ladies and gentlemen. Let me introduce the band. I think a whole lot of this band and I know you do too. On the bass and drums Mr. Ian Wallace. Jerry Scheff. On the keyboards Alan Pasqua. All right. On the conga drums, from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. Lead guitar Billy Cross. On the rhythm guitar, from Tombstone Arizona, Steve Soles. You can do better than that ! Steve Soles he deserves a lot of attention. On the mandolin and violin, you met this young man earlier in the evening. He's getting married next week, David Mansfield. On the tenor saxophone, a young man who gave up a great career in a laboratory to be in this band. Steve Douglas. All right, on the background vocals tonight, three young ladies. I'm not sure if you're acquainted with the old group called The Raylettes, but they remind me of something like The Raylettes. I hope they remind you of the same group. I know they do. All right. On the left my fiancée, Carolyn Dennis. On the right my current girlfriend Jo Ann Harris. And in the middle my childhood sweetheart, she makes me cry, taught me everything I know, Miss Helena Springs. We'll do this little tune for ya, I wrote this about ten, ten years ago, wrote and recorded in New York City, called It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

Thank you. We had a good time tonight and I hope you did. We gotta head out now so we'll be here tomorrow night. maybe we'll see you then. (before Forever Young)

Thank you all right. Thanks very much. Here's another song I been playing for twenty years. One more time we're gonna do it. (before The Times They Are A-Changin')

Thank you! All right, this is a new song, played for you now right at the start. (before Baby Stop Crying)

Thank you! This next song is the story of my life. (before Shelter From The Storm)

Thank you, thank you very much! We got a young girl here tonight, in the group. I want you to listen to her sing. OK? She's gonna sing a song for you now, an old Sam Cooke song. You know who Sam Cooke is? This is Carolyn Dennis. Make her feel welcome, all right?

All right. Another young lady in the group, please make her welcome. She's gonna sing a song, Love Minus Zero. Miss Helena Springs!

Helena Springs! There’s a young man in this group, a great artist in his own right. He’s made a few records, maybe you’ve heard of him, maybe not. He’ll sing one song for you. He'll introduce the song and sing it for you. Mr. Steve Soles! Steven Soles: "Hello! I know you're out there! I'm gonna sing a little song, dedicate this to the crumbling of all monuments. It's a quiet song. We'll dedicate it to Edith Piaf, she's out there tonight." (Steve Soles sings Laissez-faire)

This is another new song, Tales Of Yankee Power.

Thank you. That was a new song. This is an old one. Not really new. It gives me great pleasure to sing it in this place! (before Masters Of War)

OK, We wanna do this tune. A lot of people say this is reggae, but it still seems to work pretty well this way. It's an old song still says the same thing. Actually it’s more Southern Mountain Reggae. (before Don't Think Twice, It's All Right)
This is called All Along The Watchtower. We wanna dedicate this to the late great Jimi Hendrix
.

Thank you! David Mansfield on the violin. I taught him every single note. (after All Along The Watchtower)

Thank you! All right, I wanna introduce you to my band. You know how good they are so give them the appreciation they deserve. Tonight, on the drums, from England, Ian Wallace. On the bass guitar, from San Francisco, Jerry Scheff. All right, on the organ, from Philadelphia, Alan Pasqua. From Mobile, Alabama, on lead guitar, Billy Cross. On the conga drums from Detroit, Bobbye Hall. All right, rhythm guitar, you met this young man earlier. He's got a great future ahead of him, Mr. Steve Soles from Tombstone, Arizona. On the fiddle, the violin, violin and the mandolin, David Mansfield. On the saxophone, a young man who gave up a career as an airline pilot to join this band, Steve Douglas. Background singers tonight, on the left, my fiancée Carolyn Dennis. On the right, my childhood sweetheart, Jo Ann Harris. And, in the middle, my current girlfriend, Helena Springs. I wrote and recorded this in New York City 1963, called It's Alright Ma, I'm Only Bleeding.

Thank you! I wish we could stay and play all night, I really I do. But just can't. This is a tune I recorded on an album with The Band called Planet Waves. I'm gonna leave you with this tune. It means a lot to me and I know it means a lot to you. (before Forever Young)

Thank you. Eric Clapton is back. He's gonna stay here and sing all night with me. (plays I’ll Be Your Baby Tonight). Thank you. Eric Clapton on lead guitar!
