7         TOUR '74

7.1                                        Introduction

After more than seven years off the road Dylan once again toured America and once again the musicians who once called themselves Levon Helm and The Hawks and later The Band, were his backing group. The tour was the first major stadium tour of the rock era and consisted of no less than 40 shows in X cities in U.S.A. and Canada.

 

7.2                                        The show

The show consisted of 18-19 songs, presented in two sets and one or two encores. The Band's songs are not counted here. The first 5 or songs in the second set was done solo by Dylan. Show structure:
